Hi, my name is Leanne. My husband Jon and I have three amazing little boys.
Jack is three, and is quite the bundle of energy! He provides us with never ending entertainment. He was diagnosed with autism in January. Jack is very verbal, and can say anything. However, he has trouble communicating his feelings, thoughts, desires, etc. and answering higher order questions. He is VERY hyper, impulsive, and aggressive. He is also very social, and wants to interact with people, but has a hard time doing that appropriately. Jack has alot of stims, but they seem to change alot, and honestly seem more like little quirks than something that really stands out to most people as something "odd", if that makes sense.
Jack also has alot of medical issues that seem to be related to his autism. He has major GI issues, and a low immune system. He also has the MTHFR homozygous gene mutation, which we only recently discovered through testing. We are gfcf, plus a few other letters =) , and are slowly starting other supplementation, which seems to be helping. He has made HUGE strides in the last year, when we first suspected autism.
We also have 20 month old identical twin boys, Sutton and Jon Parker, who were born 2 months prematurely. They overcame quite a few complications, from being early, and also from a condition called twin to twin transfusion syndrome. We are very lucky to have them with us and for the most part, healthy.
The twins showed some early potential signs of autism, but thankfully we believe we are in clear with them. They just started talking last month, with INTENSIVE speech therapy, that continues.
Overall, we are so blessed to have three wonderful boys, who are our pride and joy. Our days are a challenge, but I love my children more than anything, and am so proud of each of them!
