I am so proud of my son, Isaiah! We are trying to find the best services for him as are all parents with children who have Autism. We would love to hear from any parents, doctors, therapists, advocates or teachers who have found successful techniques for helping children with Autism.
Isaiah is the youngest of our four children. He was born on July 6, 2004. He was an emergency c-section. We heard his heartbeat before birth and it was slower than a normal adult's heart. We would have lost him with natural birth. He was very weak and my placenta was dying.
He has never had a "normal" day in his life. I can't say that there is an event that happened to say, "This is when Isaiah became autistic."
We are trying lots of therapies with Isaiah. I think prayer and love are the best ones.
I am not as upset that Isaiah has Autism as I am that people are judgemental when they don't understand his behavior.
I really hate the comment, "If you just spank him, he will stop it."
I have lots of fun with Isaiah because he is such a fun child. He brightens my day.
