My name is Lorraine, but most people call me Lors, I am a 34yr old single mother to a wonderful little boy called Alasdair, he is my only child and very special to me.
Alasdair has just turned 11yrs old now and quite the character :) he has Autism and Hyperacusis which can make life challenging for him at times, but it certainly keeps mum on her toes anyway he he.
I am originally from a small seaside town called Montrose, a quaint wee place that hugs the North East coast.
Accross the river from Montrose lyes a petite fishing village called Ferryden, this darling village is where I grew up and spent my wonderful childhood.
I now live further a field in West Lothian because my sons father got a job down this neck of the woods, so we opted for a move back in 1997.
However my then husband and I parted company (separated) around 2 yrs ago and Alasdair and I moved to Leyden Farm, on a sweet little dairy farm in the heart of West Lothian, we do well but it has been quite a rollercoaster ride to get here.
As for my interests, well that could be a list, he he how long is a piece of string! :)
I am a witch, I believe in love, nature and magick.
I have a strong passion for Scottish history, and I write ALOT! mainly childrens stories, but I also write a magazine which is currently being put together right now, and is gradually taking shape.

I also write childrens stories, I have a big old collection of them now too, I am hoping one day to have some of them published, especially one in particular as both myself and Alasdair made it up together.
If anyone would like to read any of my work please feel free to ask, and I will happily share.
Brightest blessings

Every morning I woke to the sound of seagulls laughing, I could see the neighborhood cats strolling effortlessly up through the small narrow closes meandering, meowing, heads held high, tip to tail perfectly balanced as always, my own furry feline friends joining alongside there chums as they did everyday.
Across the river from the quiet fishing village of Ferry-den, lay the quaint old town of Montrose, the old kirk bell, bathing old Mount of Rose in a melodic blanket, first thing somehow added to her charm as an already beautiful place to live.
Old historic Montrose, a town full of character, old buildings lining the gorgeous high street, flower baskets hanging outside the wee shop doorways to welcome you as you crossed there door, dainty little bakery's, coffee shops, and old public houses just added to her charm and warmth.
small town living is not to be frowned upon, in fact towns like Montrose, in my humble opinion should be respected for what they are, and how they have come to be so, towns like Montrose and many more besides her, have been through so much, from then to now, they have battle scars, memories, they are steeped in there own history and to me that is priceless, it is something precious to treasure, it makes you sit back and in a quiet moment ponder and reflect over how she came to be, from present day to yesteryear how far she has come, and blossomed as she grew from a handful of people to the bustling town of the many she nurtures now.
