Hello all, my name is Dawn. I'm a 33y/o from Chicago and I'm the proud parent of two boys with autism. I'm always looking for new techniques to enhance our lives together. I enjoy meeting other parents with similar realities and hope to make some new friends as well as learn about new resources.

I am the biggest softie in the world. I feel like I have to put on a tough front most of the time but wish that I didn't. I am scared of butterflies(I know,it's crazy),heights, the witch in the Wizard of Oz and mechanical animals like they have at Museums. I want to sing on Broadway and if I get married again, I want a Star Wars reception.

I'm sorry you're afraid of butterfies. They do look kind of alien, though, don't they? You're not the only one who has to conquer her fears daily-- me, too.

I put up a strong exterior too, but I'm also a softy. I have a snake fobia. I wanted to be a great painter and a writer, but this days all I want is my baby back.
